(By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received November 29, 11.15 a.m. WASHINGTON, Nov. 28. The Secretary of Labour reported that' tho United States admitted 538,001 aliens during tho fiscal year ended June 30, which was an increase of 41,895 over the previous year. During the year 253,508 aliens left the country; 180,142 declared their intention of returning. Three-fourths of all immigrants entering the United States were between 18 and 44 years of age.—A. and N.Z. cable. CHINESE STOWAWAYS. NOT DESIRED IN AUSTRALIA. Received November 29, 1.5 p.m. SYDNEY, Nov. 29. The fifty Chinese stowaways who were discovered on a steamer Almerkerk at Fremantle have arrived at Sydney as passengers, the Chinese Con-sul-General having entered into a bond of £IO,OOO. They will leave the country within a month.—Press Association.
