LABOUR SOCIAL CLUB.
The Labour Social Club held their usual Saturday euchre tourney, when there were present 148 players. Play commenced at 8 o’clock and continued until 10.30 p.m., when the following were the prize winners:—Ladies: Mrs Miller (£2 order); Mrs R. Jones (£1 .order) ; Mrs Gold (10s order) ; Missi Kelly (5s order). Men: Mr J. Cook (£2 order); Mr Buick (£1 order); Mr Gillion (10s order); Mr Coglan (5s order). The highest number of points scored were 18i out of a total of 24 games played. Mr J. Perrson with a score of 21J points is still leading for the gold wristlet watch. At the conclusion of the ca’rds a tasty supper was partaken of and the prizes were presented, bringing a very enjoyable function to a close.
