BOXING CONTEST.
CASEY AND BROADFOOT DRAW.
Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Nov. 28. There was a small attendance at the Municipal Theatre to-night when Hairy Casey (the Australian holder) met Jim Broadfoot (Auckland) ior ,the professional middle-weight title. Three fine preliminaries put the crowd in good humour. For the big event Casey ‘ had the better of the opening rounds and had . Broadfoot down" for seven and eight. In the second session Broadfoot came back strongly, over the middle stages and was going great guns at the finish. The verdict: of a draw was well received. In the. second preliminary Jaggers (Christchurch) beat McEwah (Invercargill). 1 . ..
