DENTIST’S ADVICE.
CHOOSE NOURISHING FOOD. MELBOURNE, Aug. 23. “If you were asked to choose between what was most tasteful and niost nourishing, you should always choose the former,” said Dr. H P. I lckerill, of New Zealand, when addressing the Dental Congress to-day. Nature, lie said, did not evolve taste simply for the glutton, but to protec the whole organism. The work of the taste nerves was to produce the salivary and alimentary secretions which serve the purpose of protecting and digesting. Without taste we would get stagnation in both mouth and body, and stagnation nearly always meant disease.
