MAHENO DISPUTE.
PASSENGERS LEFT AT SYDNEY,
Per Press Association. * AUCKLAND, Sept. 3. Passengers by the Maheno, which sailed from Sydney on August 30 for Auckland, state that it was not decided till 3 o’clock that the steamer was to sail by 5.30 p.m. and many missed the vessel, although their luggage was aboard. When the stewards decided to sail and leave the dispute for a settlement at Auckland, some of them went ashore.
