WEALTHY ESTATE.
HEAD OF CHINA TRADING FIRMS. Received September 3, 10.30 a.m. RUGBY, Sept. 2. The estate of the late Sir Robert Jardine, head of the China - trading firm of Jardine, Matlieson and Company, has been valued for probate at £1,831,479. It is understood that, in addition, the late Mr Jardine owned important estates abroad.—British official wireless.
