The debate between the Auckland and Wellington Training College students at the University Hall, on the subject “that the capitalistic and economic system is in the best interests of civilisation,” in which the visitors took the affirmative, resulted: Wellington 272 points, Auckland 265 points. The judge, Professor Anderson, said that the debate showed a great improvement over the previous contests.
