Lord Galway, chairman of the Big Brother movement, has written to Sir John Higgins appealing to tho shareholders of Bawra for a donation 10 shillings per cent., totalling £175,000, to help to send to Australia, in the first instance, ex-service men’s children and, in the second instance, potential farming settlers. The letter points out that the Bawra shareholders received £200,000,000, of which £35.000.000 represent surpluses above the war prices ol wool.
