ACROSS THE ATLANTIC.
BEST FLIGHT SO FAR. CAPTAIN LINDBUItGH’S FEAT. Received Juno 16, 10.5 a.m. AIADIIID, June 15. Asked which was the best transAtlantic flight, Aiajor De Pinedo replied unhesitatingly that of Captain Lindburgli because of the heroism and endurance required for an unaccompanied flight. He expressed the opinion that a trans-Atlantic commercial service was possible, but the right type of machine must be discovered. “Aly ambition is to find a ’plane in which I can make a circuit of the world without being a slave to time,” he said. “Personally I found that crossing to America was more difficult than the journev the other way.— A. and N.Z. cable.
