AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 15. In the Auckland provincial ladies’ golf championship 16 players qualified yesterday. The first round of match play this morning in glorious weather resulted: —Miss Chrystall (Christchurch) beat Miss Upton, 4 and 3; Mrs Deighton beat Mrs Hodges? 3 and 2; Miss Culling beat Miss Adams, 6 and 5; Miss Ward (Wellington) heat Miss Hamlin, 1 up; Miss Horton beat Mrs Marshall, 3 and 1; Mrs Grace (Wanganui) beat Mrs Ferguson, 4 and 3; Mrs Weston (Wellington) beat Miss Cooper, 2 and 1.
