RAID IN AUCKLAND.

THREE MEN ARRESTED. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 23. At noon to-day tho police raided three places in the city, as a result of which bookmakers generally went out of business for the day. Three men were arrested. William Alfred Maclvay, who was arrested in an hotel, was charged with carrying on business as a bookmaker. George Jelcich and William John llushton were charged with using premises in Victoria Street and Albert Street respectively, as common gaming houses.
