' A. AND P. ASSOCIATION. MEETING OF COMMITTEE. Special to "Standard.”) FEILDING, April 23. A meeting of the general committee • of the Feilding A. and P. Association was held last night, Mr E.. E. Short presiding. : A vote of sympathy was passed to the relatives of the late Hon. D. H. Guthrie. A similar vote was passed to Messrs D. Reid and W. E. Carthew in their bereavements. The motions were carried by all present standing in silence. Correspondence was received from Mr and • Mrs Clark informing the association that no charges wquld be incurred against it in connection with their visit to Feilding to judge at the recent show. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr and Mrs Clark. • The North Island A. and P. Associations wrote advising that the annual conference would be held in Palmerston North and asking that the association appoint its delegates. Messrs B. N. Sandilands and C. G. C. Dermer were rp-appointed the delegates. . . , , Resignations were received, and accepted, from Messrs W. Lambert, G. Lampp, W. H. Edney, J. W. Bradey, A. TV. Fidler, W. J. Poison, H. C. Johnston and Mrs Fitzherbert. Mr L. J. Wild read a letter he had received from America complaining of the short-sighted policy of the American Southdown Breeders’ Association in refusing to deal with the New Zealand Association in reference to the importation of stock from Uew Zealand. The writer of the letter desired to import some New Zealand stock but was unable to do so on account of the attitude, of the American Association. Mr Wild moved that a remit be sent to the -conference asking that endeavours be made to rectify the ill-feeling or apathy thftt apparently exists in America in regard to New Zealand stock' importations. The following "new members were elected: —Estate N. Gorton, Mr R. A. Carter. A donation of £1 Is was received with thanks from Mrs F. B. Mcßeth. April 27th was fixed as the date of the annual general meeting of the association. The following officers and committee retire this year: —‘Presi- _ dent, Mr E. E. Short; vice-presidents, Messrs Carthew, Eliott, Sandilands; hon. treasurer, Mr J. W. Bramwell; committee, Messrs Campbell, Evans, Kidd, McLeod, Page, Reid, Swainson and Younger: This meeting being the final one of the present committee, the chairman heartily thanked the committee for the loyal support they had given him during his two years of office. On the motion of Messrs McLean and Knight a vote of appreciation for his' services was accorded the president.

POLO. HANDICAP WON BY PAREWANUI. The polo grounds at Feilding were very soft for the final match in the West Coast Polo Association’s handicap cup competition between Feilding A (scr.) and Parewanui (2 goals). The game was made very willing and open and the final chukka saw Parewanui leave the field the winners by 11 goals to 5. Each team hit 9 behinds. Mr R. Abraham refereed. DENTAL CLINIC. All work in connection with the opening of the dental clinic for school children has been finalised and Nurse Hughes, who has been placed in charge, expects to commence duties next week.Anzac Day memorial services as usual will be held in the Feilding churches on Monday and a parade of ex-service men and nurses is being arranged. The band will render an appropriate programme of music from the rotunda on Monday afternoon. A memorial service for the late Mrs W. E. Carthew will be conducted in the Methodist Church to-morrow evening by the Rev. A. Mitchell.
