In to-day’s i6sue the Railway Department advertises special trairn arrangements and cheap fares to Palmerston North for the Manawatu race meeting next Thursday and Saturday. A suitable time-table to the course has been prepared. Attention is specially directed to the earlier running of the' 5.10 p.m. Palmerston North-Welling-ton train on the second race day.
