RESULT OF FLOODS.
COLLIERIES RENDERED IDLE.
SYDNEY, April 21. All collieries in the Cesnock district have been closed, rendereing idle 8,000 miners.
Owing to the suspension of the South Maitland railway as a result of the floods, it is unlikely that either coal or passenger trains will be able to be resumed till next weelc.—Press Association.
