ON THURSDAY, March 3. from 6.15 p.m. until the Royal Party arrive at the Grand Hotel, and on FRIDAY MORNING, March 4, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., Vehicular Traffic will be suspended in the following Streets:— Main Street , -West from Cook Street to the Square, Domain Street, David Street, Andrew Young Street, George Street and the whole of the Square. No Vehicles of any description will be allowed in any of the Streets herein mentioned. J. R. HARDIE, Town Clerk. March 1, 1927. VISIT OF THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES THE DUKE AND DUCHESS OF YORK. PROGRAMME. THURSDAY, MARCH, 3: i Their Royal Highnesses will arrive at the Railway Station at 5.40 p.m., and will drive along Main Street to the Soldiers’. Memorial, thence to the Bank, of New Zealand and around the Square via the Post Office, to the Grand Hotel. IRIDAY, MARCH 4: 9.15 a.m., inspection of School Children, Guard of Honour, Veterans, Officers’ Club, Returned Soldiers, Girl Guides, Boy Scouts and Boys and Girls of Flock. House, Country School Children arriving by Train will assemble outside the Railway Station, and will march to positions allotted to them in the Square. Country School Children coming by Motor Bus or other, means of transit are requested to assemble at the Occidental, corner of the Square and Fitzherbert Street, where they will reoeive directions, as to their positions. ! Town School Children will march from their respective Schools, arriving at the Square at 8.45 a.m. ' Returned Soldiers will parade outside the Soldiers’ Club at 8.45 a.m. and will move into position opposite the Band Rotunda. Dress will be mufti, with decorations. (By order of the President.) An Address on behalf of the Citizens and Settlers of the District will be presented to Their Royal Highnesses at the Dais adjacent to the, Band Rotunda. . Following the reception, Their Royal Highnesses will then drive round the outer side of the whole of the Square to the Railway Station via Main Street, where they will take their departure at 10 o’clock, passing through the Square en route to Napier.
