COAL SEEKING.

STRATFORD, March 2
The Chamber of Commerce decided last night to urge on the Government the desirability of taking steps to ascertain the quantity of coal in the Tangarakau district. It was stated that, if the right quantities existed, the saving to the Taranaki province in its coal bill would be £50,000 per annum.
