SOUTH KENSINGTON MUSEUM. INTERESTING EXHIBITIONS. Received March 2, 12.10 p.m. LONDON, March 1. Earl Balfour opened at the Science Museum at South Kensington an exhibition which has been arranged by the Research' Association illustrating the application of science to the wool trade, from the raw wool to the finished fabric. One exhibit showed the effects of persistence in tar branding on cloth, compared with the association’s new tarle6s fluid. A most spectacular item is the new spinning frame giving five times the present draft by the elimination of intermediate processes, ako the fading lamp, by whcli dyed fab res are faded, a proces comparable to . exposure to sunshine.—A. and N.Z. cable.
