ELECTRIC DEVELOPMENT.
SUGGESTION REGARDING PUBLICITY.
“1 am of opinion that good results would follow the circulation of a film depicting features of electric development in New Zealand. 1 leave it tothe conference to formulate definite recommendations, but I feel that a film of this character showing our sources of development, the application of electricity to dairying in New Zealand, the industrial use of electricity, etc., would receive a cordial reception from picture houses and the public abroad. Even in New Zealand visual education of this type would be worth while.”
This was an extract from the report presented to the annual conference yesterday of the New Zealand power board secretaries and executive officers by the president, Mr C. Campbell, of Invercargill.
After some discussion the suggestion was approved of and referred to the Government Publicity Department.
