CYCLING RACE.
. RIDERS IN DISPUTE. FINED BY COMMITTEE. Per Press Association. GISBORNE, Jan. 4. Following the riding of the three mile cycle handicap at the Ngatapa sports vesterday, McCann and Brewster, New Plymouth riders, appeared before the committee. The former was fined £1 for foul riding and the latter 10s for bad language, as the result of alleged interferences with a Gisborne rider, Dolman, during the race. Subsequently McCann and Brewster laid complaints against Dolman and Hamilton, who had supported the former complaint, Dolman being fined £1 for assault and Hamilton 10s for abusive language.
