MOTOR ACCIDENT.
TOWING A CAR
A rather unusual accident befell Mr and Mrs J. P. Nielsen, of Main street, yesterday. They were motoring from Wellington to Palmerston North when their car gave trouble in the region of Linton. Accepting a tow from a passing car, all went well until the tow rope fouled one of the front wheels of Mr Neilsen’s car, causing the vehicle to strike a post by the roadside. The force of the impact damaged the fore portion of the car and Mrs Nielsen was thrown against the windscreen and sustained some severe cuts about the head necessitating the insertion of several stitches. Her condition, however, was not serious and after receiving medical attention she was able to proceed to her home. Mr Neilsen escaped injury.
