AN EXPENSIVE MEAL.
BEAR IN ZOO EATS £SO. A lady visitor to the Scottish Zoological Gardens in Edinburgh recently had the misfortune to drop her bag into tho pond in the Polar bear enclosure. One of the bears at once seized on tho bag, which contained £SO in Treasury notes, and to tho consternation of the lady preceded to eat bag and contents. Before anybody could intervene tho destruction was complete, and the bear retired to his lair, apparently well satisfied with his very expensive meal.
