HIS MISTAKE.
BILLIARDS AND SLY GROG. INMAN STRIKES TROUBLE. LONDON, Dec. 24. A police raid on Inman’s Club, Ltd.,, resulted in Melbourne Inman, described as the principal proprietor, being fined £IOO at Bow Street Court for selling intoxicating liquor without a license. Costs amounted to 50 guineas. Lennox Robertson was fined £2O and the club was fined £IOO. A summons against Mrs Inman was withdrawn. The prosecution stated that the company’s authorised capital was £I2OO, Mrs Inman holding 600 shares and Inman one. The liquor profits went to the Inmans. For tiro defence it was contended that the club was bona fide and was used by billiard enthusiasts, whom Inman occasionally, taught. Inman thought Jbe- was entitled to selL liquor*
