BILLIARDS AND SLY GROG. INMAN STRIKES TROUBLE. LONDON, Dec. 24. A police raid on Inman’s Club, Ltd.,, resulted in Melbourne Inman, described as the principal proprietor, being fined £IOO at Bow Street Court for selling intoxicating liquor without a license. Costs amounted to 50 guineas. Lennox Robertson was fined £2O and the club was fined £IOO. A summons against Mrs Inman was withdrawn. The prosecution stated that the company’s authorised capital was £I2OO, Mrs Inman holding 600 shares and Inman one. The liquor profits went to the Inmans.
