At the annual meeting of the Tennis Club there was a good attendance of members, Mr W. N. Brewer being in the chair.
The balance-sheet, which showed a credit of £7, was adopted, and the following officers wore elected: President ,Mr A. P. McHardy; vice-presidents, Messrs G. R. Taylor and R. G. Hutton; captain, Mr J. B. Searle; vice-captain-, Mr W. Gibbs; secretary. .Mr J. McDonell; committee, Mrs Taylor, Misses Hanper, - Hopkirk and Trass (2). The following new members were elected: MrMs O’Brien, Misses Hopkirk, Twisllton, Messrs Scott. Brown and O’Brien. The membershi fee was fixed at gentlemen 15s and ladies 10s. : At a meeting of the Methodist Church Ladies’ Guild, it was decided to hold the bazaar on November ■lB during the afternoon and evening. The ladies have been working well and expect this function to eclipse previous bazaars. Several suggestions for novel features were adopted.
