All cricketers know the difficulty of looking after valuables during a match, but, says the London Daily Mail of Juno 8, the problem Ijias been solved by Mr It. H. Green, umpire for the Forest Hill C.C., who takes the field wearing a specially made waistcoat with twelve pockets. He is thus able to take charge of the valuables of tho entire eleven —and his own —and when his coat is buttoned up no one would suspect the watches, chains and other valuables beneath. Mr Green, who has been umpiring for 30 years, has had his present waistcoat “safe” for eight years.
