Among the remits carried at the Dominion conference of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand were the following:—“That associations be urged to encourage their members to supersede the title ‘land agent’ by the title of ‘real estate agent.’ ” “That steps be taken to obtain a uniform tariff, “and, further, that steps be taken to urge the Government to stop the iniquitous practice whereby 5 per cent of the total area of land subdivided for sale may be confiscated for public purposes without .qompensatiou, the institute being of the opinion that when such laud is required for public purposes the owner should be reimbursed at the rate of the last Government valuation of the land so required.” To-inorrow night in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Cuba street, the Social Club will hold another of their popular euclrre tourneys.
