THE HAT CAME BACK.
MILLIONAIRE’S POVERTY DAYS. Among the passengers who arrived at Bordeaux from Canada not long ago was M. Etchebarry, a millionaire, who left Bordeaux 30 years ago without a sou. On his arrival at Bordeaux he was wearing the same hat which he wore when he left France as a lad of 18. Ho_ intends to return to Canada after visiting Pau, his native place. Another millionaire, M. Studip, arrived on the same boat. He travelled second-class because he likes simplicity. His first act on landing was to subscribe 50,000 francs to the French Sinking Fund.
