FAITH HEALING.
METHODIST ATTITUDE. SYDNEY, June 24. The Methodist Church of Australia, in a statement defending its attitude towards faith-healing, says that the sick should look to the physician and not to the clergyman to perform the duty of physician and surgeon. __ The Methodist Conference oonsiders “that a declaration of the attitude of the Methodist church should be made in view of the advance in our midst of Christian Science, so called, and because of the deep interest evidenced in the past three years in divine healing The conference declares its faith in prayers for the sick, but says that no prayer should bo offered unless intercession is first made for repentance and for the cleansing power of Hod s Holy - p «urit.” —Press Association.
