BUSINESS GIRLS
FORTNIGHTLY LUNCHEON. There was a fair attendance at the regular fortnightly meeting of the Business .Girls' Luncheon Club held this afternoon. Misses K. Englefield and D. Perry presided, but on this occasion there was no speaker, and a short meeting was held to discuss arrangements in connection with a proposed concert party visiting the local hospital. It was resolved if possible to provide an entertainment on AVednesday next, 1 and it was mentioned that the Junior Orchestra had offered its services. Subsequently a programmo was drawn up and arrangements finalised. At a suitable juncture in the proceedings -items were 'contributed by Miss A r . Hansen (recitations) and Miss D. McAlister (songs and recitation's). Visitors at the meeting were Misses A. Ridley, V. Hansen, M. AA’ilson, E. Vincent, Pitt, Bates and A r oung.
