Yet England cannot deport him because the Soviet refuses to take him, although' he is a Russian citizon. Five .deportation orders have thus been frustrated. •
A detective said 'that Backer was a dangerous man. He was a member of the British Communist Party. His provious convictions related to bogus charity collections. Now he was convicted of being an incorrigible rogue. Ho was sent to the Sessions for trial on another charge.
