Another of the popular functions conducted by the newly formed Carnivals Company (which organisation was responsible for the grand winter carnival held last Thursday, and which proved such a great success) will take place in the Soldiers' Club on Thursday, July 15 and will take the form of a “floral fete.’’ Fuller particulars will he advertised at a later date. Attention is drawn to the advertisement announcing that entries for the practical examinations of the Associated Board of the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music close on July 1. This year one'of the examiners will bo Mr Frederick Moore, Mus. Bac., A.R.C.M., F.R.A.M., the distinguished musician and lecturer on musical subjects, a professor at the Royal Academy and at the Matthay School. Tho examinations will take place as nearly as possible at tho same dates as last year.
