RAILWAY SLEEPER.
SUCCESSFUL TRIAL RUN. P«r Pre«» Association. AUCKLAND, June 22. The new express sleeper completed its first trial run from Wellington to Auckland this morning, tho officials aboard expressing the greatest satisfaction. Mr Mackley, locomotive engineer for the North Island, said: •‘She has done well, and at 45 miles an hour was quiet and smooth. It was a most satisfactory trial in every way.”
