HOSPITAL DAY.
FOXTON AND LEVIN ASSISTING. The annual meeting of the Foxton Croquet Club and a public meeting called at Levin were waited upon last evening by a deputation comprising Mrs Trask and Mr F. J. Oakley, who explained the objects of Hospital Day to be observed at Palmerston North on July 3, and invited assistance. The Foxton Croquet Club set up a committee headed by the Mayoress (Mrs M. E. Perreau) to organise a campaign in the sea coast town, while the public meeting at Levin decided to conduct badge and produce sales next Saturday. A number of nurses from the Palmerston North Hospital will go to Levin to aid the effort there.
