Eleven and a half degrees of frost were recorded at Napier yesterday morning, establishing a new record. Tlie previous record was in 1923, when ten degrees of frost were recorded. The Tahiti, which' left Sydney heads at 6 a.m. on Friday, made a fast trip, her steaming time to her Wellington anchorage being three days, three hours 40 minutes. In November, 1924, she went from Wellington to Sydney in 3 days 4hrs 20min. The Tahiti has been in. service 22 years.
