The attention of readers is direeted to the advertisement appearing in this issue of the “Golden Fleece” art union. This avt union is being promoted under the auspices of the Manawatu and West Coast A. and P. Association with' the object of providing improvements to the Showground ana slab ►w buildings at Palmerston North. Five hundred pounds is being given in prizes, the first prize being £300; and there arc 62 other prizes varying from £75 to £l, and the tickets are only Is each. The names of the trustees, Messrs James Knight. L. H. Collinson, J. A. Nash-, M.P., and J. H. Perrett, will be a sufficient guarantee that the conditions will be efficiently and honourably observed. The treasurer is Mr W. T. Penny, and the organiser Mr It. P. Mathesou, Box 85, Palmerston North.
