BOWLING.
VISIT FROM QUEENSLANDERS. At the last meeting of the executive committee of the Dominion Bowling Association an inquiry came to hand from the Queensland Bowling Association as to whether New Zealand was prepared to receive a visit from a representative Queensland team, and it was decided to extend a cordial invitation to the writers, and to recommend that the tour be arranged for the visitors not to bo here at Christmas or New Year time, owing to the difficulty of securing hotel accommodation at that period of the year. In reply to an inquiry from the South Canterbury Centre, it was decided to inform that body that the test stamps from 1920 still hold good, and that it is intended to issue a new stamp each year. The annual meeting of tho parent association will be held at Auckland' on Wednesday, September 15. Tho rules for the election of officers provide that each centre shall bo entiified to nominate one person for each office, and that each centre shall be entitled to nominate six persons as the non-official members of the council. All nominations are to be in by July 8.
