STRIKE IN OSLO.

SETTLEMENT EFFECTED. OSLO, June 9. The strike in the metal, engineering, and mining trades, in which 30,000 men were involved, has been settled, tho disputants having agreed to accept a special commission’s proposal embodying a reduction of 17 per cent on wages, the agreement expiring on January 31 next.—Reuter.
