GOLD IN PENNIES.
A PECULIAR AIYTH. THOUSANDS DECEIVED. LONDON, Alay 30. The myth that the 1922 pennies contained gold is deceiving thousands of Londoners. At one garage, where the coins have ready sale, tho price has advanced from 8d to lOd each. In answer to a host of inquiries, it is officially stated that there is nothing abnormal about these coins, though no pennies have been minted since 1922.
