In the semi-finals of the ladies’ singles Mdlle Lenglen (France) beat Miss Joan Fry (England) 6 —2, 6—l; and Miss Mary Brown (U.S.A.) beat Mdlle Bouman (Holland) B—6, 6—2. In the combined doubles Brugnon and Mdlle Lenglen (France) beat Gregory and Miss Barrow (England) 6—2, 6—4; Godfree and Mrs Godfrce (England) beat Coehet and Mdlle Vlnsto (France) 4 —6, 7 —5, 6 —4. —A. and.N.Z. cable.
