NEVER SMILED.
BARONET’S QUEER WAYS.
LONDON/ May 28. Sir Duncan Campbell, secretary to the Order of the Thistle, a non-smok-ing and teetotal baronet, who had u fatal seizure in a taxi-cab, had not smiled for 47 years. Ho was a recluse, and lived in a shabby yilla at Wimbledon with dusty Scottish weapons on the walls. He studied heraldry by candle-light, and kept his hat on when his hair was being cut. Ho carried his robes m a newspapei when attending the coronation ceremony, and wore a mackintosh covered with candle-grease.
