KILLED BY TRAIN.
FATALITY AT WAIPAWA. Per Press Association. NAPIER, April 8. Benjamin Joseph Cosgrove, aged about 60 years, a retired sac(dler ; and conductor of the Waipawa Municipal Band, was killed by a train at the Waipawa railway station this evening. Ten minutes after the train went out the body was found on the line. It is assumed that Cosgrove attempted either to board or to alight from the train while it was moving and fell between two carriages. Deceased suffered severe injuries to tile head and arm.
