GIRLS’ MUSIC CLUB.

AN ENJOYABLE EVENING

Since its inauguration tho Girls’ Music Club has conducted several most enjoyable musical evenings and, with the increasing growth of tho society, a wealth of talent is to be found in its ranks. Last evening a social function was held when quite a large gathering of friends responded to the invitation to ho present, a most enjoyable programme being presented which, while serving the one purpose, likewise proved of undoubted value to the younger members. Contributors to the programme were: —Trio, “April Lady,” Misses M. Muirhead, F. Howley and G. McKenzie; piano solo, “Novelette” (Schunian), Miss E. Corke; song, “.Spirit Flower” (I’iipton), Miss AI. Tayloif; violin solo, “By the Waters of Minnetonka, M Miss F. Howley; piano solo, “Lo Carnival” (Greig), Miss M. Buchanan; song, “Indian Love Song,” Miss J. K. Patou; piano solo, “Valse Op. 70 No. 1” (Chopin), Miss G. Seifert: violin solo, “Refrain du Bercean” (Palmgren), Miss M. Hampton ; song, “Carmencita” (Lane), Miss N. Blockley; piano solo “Nocturne” (Chopin), s M. Muirhead; song, “Like to a Damask ivujo vulgar), Miss Mann; piano solo, “Valse Op. 64 No. 1” (Chopin), Miss E. Gunter; trio, “Andante” (Ressiger), Misses F. Howley, M. Muirhead and G. McKenzie. The artists were enthusiastically received, several being compelled to give encores. At its next evening, which will bo held early in May, it is the intention of- the members to hold a gentlemen’s evening.
