WANGANUI PRESBYTERY

MEETING AT MARTON. The Wanganui Presbytery met at Marten tliis week when there were present: Revs. H. lleggs (Moderator), D. Mclvor (clerk), J. Paterson, T. Miller, G. F. Cox, J. C. Mill, W. Elliott, R. H. Cathenvood, W. McNeur, D. McNeurj home missionaries, Messrs G. Ireland, A. C. Lane; elders, Messrs Clark and Bell. As Rangiotu is to come under the charge of St. Andrew’s, Palmerston North, it was deckled that the arrears owing by it to 'The insurance fund be paid by the presbytery. Included in the triennial visitations by commissions from the presbytery decided on were the following :—Feilding, Rev. J. Patterson, Rev. H. Beggs and Mr J. B. Mcßean; Apiti, Rev. J. H. Brcdin, Rev. E. McDonald and Mr S. Sorensen; Shannon, Rev. T. Miller, ltcv. G. T. Brown and Mr S. Nairn.

The presbytery agreed to express its appreciation to Mr A. M. Climio for Ink work in tho Halcombo charge. Rev. McNeur reported that the Easter Sunday School teachers’ conference had to be abandoned owing to lack of support. He also urged that the Sunday school examinations should bo heartily supported. While having a rally of Sunday school teachers in Palmerston North on June 3, it was also agreed to approve of the proposed united Bible class rally in Marton on the same day. He intimated that Miss Nairn, of Palmerston North, had been appointed delegate from the Dominion council. ,
