"IVTOTICE is hereby given that the JL\ following Special Order was passed at a Special Meeting of the Council on the 9th day -of March. 1926, viz: — In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 22 of The Manawatu Gorge Road and Bridge Act, 1919 and by The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913 and of all other Acts and powers (if any) it in that behalf enabling the Kairanga County Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows: (1) 'that the Council proceed to raiso a loan of nine hundred pounds (£900) for the purpose of completing contribution to the Manawatu Gorge Board of Control to finish the Gorge Road. (2) That such loan be called “The Kairanga County Manawatu Gorge Road Contribution Loan of £9OO, 1925.” (3) That the currency of the said loan s?.all be lor a period of twenty (20) years commencing on the 30th day of September, 1925, and maturing on the 30tli day of September, 1945. (4) That the interest on tlio said loan shall bo at the rate of six pounds (£6) per centum per annum and shall be payable half-yearly on each 31st day of March and 30th day of September in each and every year. (5) That the form of security for the payment of principal and interest' on the said loan shall be one (1; uobenture of nine hundred pounds (£900) and relative coupons in a lorni in conformity with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913. (6) That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the interest sinking fund and other charges thereon the special rate of six one-thousandths (6lOOOths) of a penny in tho pound sterling on the rateable valuo (on the basis of the unimproved value; of ail rateable property in the whole of the County of Kairanga. (7) That the principal and interest shall be payable at the Bank of New Zealand, Wellington. (8) That the cost of raising the loan be paid out of tho loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year of the said loan be not paid out of the loan. And it is the intention of tho Council to confirm such resolution at the ordinary monthly meeting of the Council, to be held at the Council Office, Palmerston North, at 10 o’clock of the forenoon on the 13th day of April, 1926.
