GOLDEN POTATOES.
NEW YORK, March 28. The death is announced of George Shima, aged 61 years, the most notable Japanese business man in U.S.A., who during 40 years’ residence there amassed a fortune of nearly £3,000,000 by growing potatoes on a 100,000-acro farm near Sacramento (California).
