FORAIER PALMERSTON NORTH RESIDENT.
SUCCESS IN QUEENSLAND
Cabled advice has been received in Palmerston North of the. success of the Toowoomba Band, under the conductorship of Mr C. Pike, formerly of Palmerston North, in the Queensland band contest, the band - mentioned having won the selections, quickstep and hymn. * „ , . Mr Pike left Palmerston North in November last for Australia, and on his arrival there took over the conductorship of the Toowoomba Band. For a number of years he was conductor of the local band.
