SOCIAL FUNCTIONS.
A very successful euchre and dance was conducted last night in the Empire Hall, under the auspices of the Saint Patrick’s football club. Approximately 100 couples were present, and the lial was tastefully decorated with the chib colours. Confetti and streamer dances were featured, and tho popularity of this innovation was apparent. The prize won during the evening wero as follow: Fox trot couples, Miss Mortensen and Mr A. O. Heany ; waltzing competition, Miss and Mr Morgan. The judges for the dancing were Mrs Skerman and Mr Duckworth. The euchre prizes were won by Mrs O’Connell (first) and Mrs Gillespie (consolation), Mr T. Norris (first) and Mr Cudby (consolation).
