BLENHEIM, April 5. At Havelock to-day D. M. Straker and W. Seymour, both of Havelock, won the world’s championship 24-inch double-handed sawing event in 27 3-5 secs. Neilson Bros., Tailiape, were second, their time being 29 2-ssecs. A. Murrell and A. E. Olliver (Australia) were third. Pukatea logs were used. G. Mortimer (Wairau Valley) won the £IOO 15-inch standing chop. The £SO underhand 15-incli chop was won by D. M. Straker in 60 1-5 secs.
