MURDERED SWEETHEARTS.
BODY DISMEMBERED
20 YEARS’ GAOL,
PHILADELPHIA, March 24,
David Marshall, a chiropractor, on January 19 called his sweetheart. Anna Dietrick, to his office, where ho choked her. Then lie dismembered the body, placing the head and feet in a valise and throwing the trunk under a railway bridge, 10 miles outside tho city.
Ten hours after tho girl’s head had" been found Marshall was arrested, on suspicion. Later he confessed his fuilt, and to-day he was sentenced to 0 years’ imprisonment.
DE A'ERE EXECUTED. LONDON, March 24. Eugene de A'ere, the wooden-legged tailor, was executed to-day for tho murder of his sweetheart, Polly AA'alker, aged 17, at Camden Town on New Year’s. Eve.
In a fit of jealousy he strangled the girl with one of her own silk stockings, and left her lying on her own bed.
