“CLIMBED DOWN.”
HEALTH SOCIETY AND B.M.A.
LONDON, March 14.. “The British Medical Association has climbed down, and is anxious to escape from an awkward situation,” is how Professor Meredith Atkinson, secrotary of the Health Society, interprets the association’s announcement that a distinction exists between legitimate public health propaganda and doctors writing articles lor the purpose of advertisement. Professor Atkinson adds that his society has thoroughly organised a press service for which eminent specialists will not receive remuneration, but they are determined to carry on a most vigorous campaign to improve the nation’s health.
