TOKOMARU.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Mr Drake, who entered hospital last week and was operated on ‘or appendicitis, is reported to be making satisfactory progress. A painful accident befell tho little son of Mr and Mrs Print during last week. Ho contrived to upset over himself a can of boiling tea, and was severely burned above the body. The sale of bazaar articles in connection with St. Aidan’s Church is to take placo on Saturday next in tho hall, beginning at 2.30 p.m. The articles will be sold at a reduced rate and afternoon tea will bo dispensed.
A bridgo over the main drain on the new road through tho swamp, adjacent to Mr Hume’s property is in tho course of construction.
